What is Google Calendar's work location synchronization?
Google Calendar workplace synchronization is an interface between Flexopus and Google Workspace. As soon as an employee books a workspace in Flexopus, this booking is automatically transferred as a "Work Location" entry to their personal Google Calendar.
In addition to the booking status, the building name, floor name and the name of the booked object (e.g. (Desk or room) synchronized. The connection is established via the Google Management API, which Flexopus uses as an authorized application.

In the hybrid work environment, transparency is crucial: teams want to know who is in the office and when – and exactly where. The Google Calendar workplace integration makes exactly that possible, without any additional effort for employees.

What happens if I delete a booking in Flexopus?
When a booking is deleted in Flexopus, Flexopus automatically removes the associated workplace entry from the Google Calendar. You don't need to clean anything manually.
What happens if I manually change or delete the calendar entry in Google?
Flexopus is not notified of manual changes or deletions directly in Google Calendar and cannot undo them. However, if you subsequently edit the booking in Flexopus, the entry will be correctly written to Google Calendar again.
What data is transmitted to Google Calendar?
Flexopus transmits only booking-related information: date, period (in the case of detailed configuration) as well as building, floor and object name. No personal or sensitive data will be transmitted. Flexopus only requires permission to write calendar entries.
