How does the Home Assistant add-on work?

With the Flexopus Home Assistant add-on, you can automate your office by connecting IoT and smart home devices. The integration makes it possible to use occupancy information from Flexopus to control, for example, lighting, temperature and access controls based on booking status. Installation is done via the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS) or manually. Once configured, automations can be defined that respond to changes in the Flexopus sensors, increasing efficiency and energy savings in the office.

Welche Daten werden von Flexopus an Home Assistant übertragen?

Es werden ausschließlich Belegungsinformationen übertragen – also ob eine Ressource aktuell gebucht ist oder nicht sowie der erwartete Belegungsstatus. Persönliche Daten wie Namen von Buchenden oder Buchungsdetails werden nicht an Home Assistant weitergegeben.

Funktioniert die Integration auch, wenn ich Home Assistant lokal betreibe?

Ja. Home Assistant ist eine selbst gehostete Plattform und läuft auf Ihrer eigenen Hardware. Die Flexopus-Integration kommuniziert über die Flexopus REST API mit den Flexopus-Servern, um Buchungsdaten abzurufen. Ihre Home Assistant-Instanz und alle daran angebundenen Geräte bleiben dabei in Ihrer eigenen Infrastruktur.

Was passiert, wenn eine Buchung geändert oder storniert wird?

Die Belegungssensoren werden in regelmäßigen Abständen aktualisiert. Änderungen oder Stornierungen in Flexopus werden beim nächsten Abrufzyklus automatisch an Home Assistant übertragen. Darauf aufbauende Automatisierungen reagieren entsprechend auf den neuen Status.

Muss ich technische Kenntnisse mitbringen, um die Integration einzurichten?

Da Home Assistant eine selbst gehostete Plattform ist, sind grundlegende technische Kenntnisse für die Einrichtung hilfreich. Die Flexopus-Integration selbst ist über den Home Assistant Community Store (HACS) komfortabel installierbar. Eine detaillierte Anleitung steht im Flexopus Hilfe-Zentrum zur Verfügung.

Für welche Ressourcentypen stehen Belegungssensoren zur Verfügung?

Die Integration unterstützt alle in Flexopus buchbaren Ressourcentypen – also Schreibtische, Besprechungsräume und Parkplätze. Für jede Ressource wird in Home Assistant ein eigener Sensor angelegt, den Sie für Automatisierungen verwenden können.
