What is the Microsoft Intune integration?
Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based solution for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM). Intune allows companies to centrally manage and distribute apps and configurations to employee devices.
The Flexopus integration takes advantage of this: Administrators store the domain configuration required for Flexopus directly in an Intune app configuration policy. When an employee opens the Flexopus app on their managed device, the domain value is automatically transferred – manual input is completely eliminated.
What is the purpose of integration?
Without Intune, users have to manually enter a domain when they first start the Flexopus app – a value that most employees don't know and that has to be communicated by the administrator. This leads to queries, errors, and additional effort.
With Intune integration, this step is completely eliminated. Typical application scenarios:
- Large-scale rollouts: The app is rolled out simultaneously to hundreds or thousands of devices without requiring any action from individual users.
- Automatic onboarding: New employees can use Flexopus immediately as soon as their device is registered on the company network.

How easy is the integration?
The setup is done entirely in the Microsoft Intune Admin Center and requires no changes to the Flexopus configuration. Administrators add the Flexopus app from the iOS App Store to Intune and then create an app configuration policy using the domain key. Once the policy is active, the configuration will be automatically applied to all managed devices.

Does the Intune configuration also need to be created separately for Android devices?
No. It is sufficient to create the configuration policy for iOS/iPadOS. Intune also transfers the configuration to managed Android devices without requiring a separate policy.
What happens if the policy is not configured correctly?
If the configuration key “domain” is missing or the policy name is not exactly “FlexopusIntuneConfig”, the domain will not be transferred automatically. In this case, the user will still see the manual domain input field. In this case, administrators should check the configuration policy in the Intune Admin Center for completeness and correct spelling.
What data is transmitted to Flexopus via the Intune integration?
Exclusively the domain value, which is needed to identify the correct company tenant. No personal user data or device information will be transferred to Flexopus via this configuration policy.
Can the integration also be used for devices that are not fully managed by Intune (BYOD)?
Automatic domain pre-filling only works on devices registered as "Managed Devices" in Intune. For personal devices without full MDM management, users must still enter the domain manually.
