Paycor with Flexopus: Automatically synchronize absences
Connect your Paycor HR system to Flexopus and ensure that your employees' absence data is always up-to-date in workplace management – without manual maintenance.
What is Paycor synchronization?
The Paycor integration is a one-way data interface through which Flexopus retrieves absence data directly from your Paycor system. The connection is established via a unified API service, which standardizes and securely handles communication between the two systems.
Once the integration is active, Paycor transfers the approved absences of employees to Flexopus. The following information is synchronized: employee ID, approval ID, start and end date, status, absence type, and optional notes.
This is a read-only synchronization: Absence data can only be edited in Paycor and is then transferred from there to Flexopus.
What is the purpose of integration?
The Paycor integration ensures that absence information from your HR system is directly visible in Flexopus – without employees or administrators having to maintain data twice.
This offers concrete advantages in everyday work:
- Employees can see their own absence status directly on the Flexopus homepage.
- Teams can use Flexopus to see who is in the office, working remotely, or absent – making it much easier to plan in-office days.
- Bookings can be automatically cancelled in the future if an absence is entered, so that resources are not unnecessarily blocked (function in preparation).
In short: The integration connects HR data with workplace management, thus creating a unified data basis for the entire team.
How easy is the setup?
Setting up the Paycor integration is straightforward and can be done in just a few steps. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select Paycor and grant the necessary API permissions in your Paycor system. The synchronization then starts automatically.
The HRIS integration module is available to all customers upon request and must be activated separately.

What are the advantages of integration?
- Automatic synchronization: Approved absences from Paycor are automatically transferred to Flexopus – no manual effort required.
- Current availability display: All employees can see at a glance who is present, remote, or absent.
- Fewer errors: Since the data comes directly from the source, typos and outdated entries are eliminated.
- Data protection by design: Only the absence information necessary for Flexopus is transmitted. Sensitive detailed information (e.g. Absence type) can be anonymized upon request.
- Seamless integration into existing processes: Paycor remains the leading system for HR data – Flexopus merely reads along.

questions and answers
Will personal or sensitive data be transmitted?
Only the absence data necessary for the operation of Flexopus is synchronized, for example, start and end dates as well as the status of an absence. The type of absence (e.g. Illness, vacation) can be anonymized upon request, so that only "absent" is displayed in Flexopus. No wage or salary accounting data is transmitted.
What happens when an absence is changed or deleted in Paycor?
Flexopus regularly synchronizes the data from Paycor. Changes or deletions will be automatically incorporated and updated in Flexopus during the next synchronization.
Can I enter or change absences in Paycor via Flexopus?
No. This is a read-only connection. Absences can only be recorded and edited in Paycor. Flexopus takes over the data and makes it available for workplace management.
What requirements do I need for the setup?
You need an active Flexopus account with the HRIS module enabled and administrator rights in Paycor to grant the necessary API permissions. The HRIS module is available to all Flexopus customers upon request.
How are employees linked to Paycor entries in Flexopus?
The assignment is done via the email address. The prerequisite is that the email address is stored identically in both systems. If the address matches, the absence data will be automatically assigned to the corresponding user in Flexopus.
