AlexisHR with Flexopus: Automatically synchronize absences
The AlexisHR integration connects Flexopus to the AlexisHR HR system via a secure interface. Absence data – such as approved vacation or sick days – is automatically read from AlexisHR and transferred to Flexopus.
What is AlexisHR synchronization?
The synchronization is read-only: Flexopus receives the data from AlexisHR and makes it available internally. Changes to absences will continue to be made exclusively in AlexisHR. Flexopus regularly retrieves the data and keeps the employee status up to date.
Absences are assigned based on the employees' email addresses, so no manual linking is necessary.
What is the purpose of integration?
With the AlexisHR integration, absence information flows directly into Flexopus' resource planning. This creates transparency within the team and simplifies the booking of workspaces, meeting rooms and parking spaces.
Typical use cases:
- Employees can see directly on the Flexopus homepage whether they are listed as absent.
- Teams can see at a glance who is in the office, who is working remotely and who is absent – this makes it easier to plan joint in-person days.
- HR data no longer needs to be entered manually into Flexopus – the synchronization runs automatically in the background.
How easy is the integration?
Setting up the AlexisHR integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the Integrations section in Flexopus, select AlexisHR and grant the necessary access permissions in AlexisHR. The synchronization then starts automatically.

What data is transferred from AlexisHR?
Flexopus handles absence entries including start and end dates, status (e.g. approved), absence type and an optional note. If desired, the transmission can be configured so that only the absence status is transmitted – without specifying the exact reason.
What happens when an absence is changed or deleted in AlexisHR?
Changes in AlexisHR will be automatically transferred to Flexopus during the next synchronization. If an entry in AlexisHR is deleted or withdrawn, the status in Flexopus is updated accordingly. Manual adjustment in Flexopus is not necessary.
Can Flexopus automatically cancel bookings if someone is absent?
This feature is currently under development. In the future, Flexopus will be able to automatically cancel existing reservations of absent employees so that resources remain available for others.
What permissions are required in AlexisHR?
Flexopus requires read access to the absence data in AlexisHR. The authorization is granted once by an administrator in AlexisHR. Write access is not required – Flexopus does not modify any data in AlexisHR.
Is the HRIS module included in the standard subscription?
The HRIS integration module is an optional add-on and must be booked separately. It is generally available to all Flexopus customers upon request. If you are interested, please contact the Flexopus team.
