With the Lucca integration, Flexopus connects your HR software directly with workplace management. Absence data from Lucca is automatically imported into Flexopus – without manual maintenance, without duplicate data storage.
What is the Lucca synchronization?
The Lucca integration is a one-way data interface between the HR system Lucca and Flexopus. Approved absence entries from Lucca are regularly transmitted to Flexopus and assigned to the corresponding user accounts there – based on the email address.
Flexopus reads the following data from Lucca: absence period (start and end date), approval status, absence type, and an optional note. Synchronization happens automatically in the background – no manual action is required from the user.
This is a read-only integration: data cannot be written back to Lucca via Flexopus.

The Lucca integration is set up via the Flexopus administrator dashboard. There, you select Lucca as the HRIS system and grant the necessary API permissions in your Lucca account. Once the connection is established, synchronization runs automatically – without any further effort from your team.
The HRIS integration module is available as an optional add-on module and can be activated upon request.

What data is transferred from Lucca?
Flexopus reads the following information from Lucca: employee ID, approval status, start and end time of absence, absence type, and an optional note. All other employee data remains in Lucca and is not transmitted to Flexopus.
What happens if an absence in Lucca is changed or cancelled?
Synchronization occurs regularly and automatically. Changes in Lucca – such as a cancellation or adjustment of the time period – will be updated in Flexopus during the next synchronization. Existing absences will be adjusted or removed accordingly.
Is the integration compliant with data protection regulations?
Yes. Flexopus transmits only the data required for the absence notification in Workplace Management. Additionally, there is the option not to transmit the specific reason for absence – in this case, Flexopus only saves the status "absent". The connection is established via a certified API service provider.
Can I enter or change absences in Lucca via Flexopus?
No. The integration is a read-only connection. Absences can only be recorded and managed in Lucca. Flexopus displays the data but does not make any changes to the source.
Is the HRIS module included in the standard Flexopus package?
The HRIS integration module is an optional add-on module that can be purchased separately. It is generally available to all customers upon request. Please contact us if you would like to activate the Lucca integration.
