Connect Officient with Flexopus and ensure that absence data from your HR system is automatically available in your workplace management solution – without manual maintenance and without duplicate effort.
What is officer synchronization?
The Office Integration connects your HR system to Flexopus via a standardized interface. Absence data from Officient – such as vacation, illness or other absence types – is automatically transmitted to Flexopus and made visible to all users there.
Synchronization runs regularly in the background. Flexopus reads the absence entries from Officient and stores them internally. Only the necessary information is transmitted, such as the period, status and – if desired – the absence type. This is a read-only synchronization: data is displayed in Flexopus, but not written back to Officient.
What is the purpose of integration?
In a hybrid work environment, it is important to know who is in the office and when. Office integration makes exactly that possible – without any additional effort for employees or HR teams.
Typical use cases:
- Make absence status visible: If a colleague is on vacation or sick, this is displayed directly on the Flexopus home screen. Everyone can see at a glance who is available.
- Making attendance transparent: Flexopus shows who is in the office, who is working remotely and who is absent. This makes it easier to plan in-person days and to collaborate within the team.
- Using resources more efficiently: When it is known that employees are absent, jobs can be allocated more effectively and bookings can be better managed.
Integration reduces manual coordination and ensures that all parties involved are always up to date.
How easy is the integration?
The Officient integration is set up directly via the Flexopus admin panel. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings, select Officient as the HRIS system, and grant the necessary permissions in Officient. The synchronization then starts automatically.
The HRIS integration module is available to all customers upon request and must be activated separately.

Are all absence types from Officient synchronized?
By default, absences are transferred with type, period, and status. In the settings, you can specify whether the exact absence type (e.g., Whether Flexopus displays "absent" (e.g., vacation, illness, parental leave) or simply "absent". This way you retain full control over what information is visible to the team.
What happens when an absence is changed or deleted in Officient?
Flexopus regularly synchronizes the data from Officient. Changes or deletions in Officient are automatically transferred to Flexopus during the next synchronization run. Manual adjustment in Flexopus is not required.
Can Flexopus automatically cancel bookings if someone is absent?
The feature to automatically delete bookings during absences is currently under development and will be available in a future version. Currently, absence data is displayed in Flexopus, but existing bookings remain.
What specific data is transferred from Officient?
Flexopus transmits only absence-related information: employee ID, period (start and end), absence status, absence type (optionally configurable) and an optional note. Personal or contractual data from Officient will not be synchronized.
Is the integration GDPR-compliant?
Yes. The connection between Officient and Flexopus is established via a certified API provider. Only the data necessary for operation will be transmitted. Additionally, you can configure which absence information is visible in Flexopus to protect data privacy within the team.
