What is Perbility Helix synchronization?
The HRIS integration between Perbility Helix and Flexopus is a one-way data interface: absence information managed in Perbility Helix is automatically transferred to Flexopus and used for resource planning.
Specifically, Flexopus synchronizes the following data from Perbility Helix: employee ID, approval status, start and end times of the absence, absence type, and an optional note. Data is mapped using the employees' email addresses.
Flexopus uses an external, unified API service for the connection, which establishes a secure and standardized link to Perbility Helix.
What is the purpose of the integration?
The integration ensures that absence data from Perbility Helix flows directly into the daily booking routine in Flexopus. This enables more realistic planning and greater team transparency.
Typical use cases:
- Make absence status visible: Approved absences from Perbility Helix are automatically displayed in Flexopus. Employees see their status directly on the home screen.
- Overview of colleague availability: Flexopus shows who is in the office, who is working remotely, and who is absent – without anyone having to enter anything manually.

How easy is the integration?
Setting up the Perbility Helix integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select Perbility Helix as the HRIS system, and grant the necessary API permissions in Perbility Helix. The synchronization will then start automatically.

Questions and answers
Are sensitive reasons for absence, such as illness, transmitted to Flexopus?
Not necessarily. Flexopus can be configured to transmit only the general absence status without revealing the exact reason (e.g., illness, parental leave, or vacation). This ensures employee privacy is maintained.
What happens if an absence is changed or deleted in Perbility Helix?
Synchronization is continuous. Changes or deletions of absences in Perbility Helix are also updated in Flexopus during the next synchronization. Absence data cannot be changed directly via Flexopus – Perbility Helix remains the leading system.
What permissions are required for the setup?
Administrator rights are required in both Flexopus and Perbility Helix for setup. In Perbility Helix, the corresponding API permissions must be granted so that Flexopus can access the absence data.
Can I use the integration without additional costs?
The HRIS integration module is an optional add-on and is not included in the standard Flexopus subscription. It can be activated upon request. Please contact Flexopus support for this.
How are employees in Flexopus assigned to absence entries from Perbility Helix?
Assignment is done automatically via the email address. The prerequisite is that the employee's email address is identical in both systems.
