What is Remote synchronization?
Remote integration is a one-way data interface between the Remote HR platform and Flexopus. Absence entries from Remote—such as vacation, illness, or other leave—are automatically transmitted to Flexopus and used for resource and office planning.
Synchronization is based on the employee's email address. The transfer includes information such as the absence period, status, and type. Flexopus reads this data; no information is written back to Remote.
What is the purpose of the integration?
The integration creates transparency in the daily work of hybrid teams. Once an absence is recorded and approved in Remote, it is automatically available in Flexopus—without requiring manual intervention from employees or administrators.

- View absence status directly on the Flexopus home screen: Employees see immediately if they are marked as absent.
- Check colleague availability: The office plan shows at a glance who is present, remote, or absent.

How easy is the integration?
Setting up the Remote integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select Remote as your HRIS system, and grant the necessary API permissions in your Remote account.

Questions and answers
What data is transferred from Remote?
Flexopus synchronizes absence entries, including the period (start and end date), status, absence type, and optional notes. Mapping is done via the employee's email address. Only the data necessary for planning is transferred.
Can absence data be edited in Flexopus?
No. The synchronization is read-only. Absence data can only be maintained in Remote. Flexopus retrieves the data and makes it available for planning, but it does not write any changes back.
What happens if an absence is deleted or changed in Remote?
Changes or deletions in Remote are automatically applied in Flexopus during the next synchronization. The absence status of the affected employee is updated accordingly.
Is the Remote integration included in the Flexopus package?
The HRIS integration module is a separate add-on and is not included in the standard base package. It is generally available to all customers upon request. Please contact the Flexopus team for questions regarding availability and pricing.
How is data privacy ensured during the transfer?
The integration is handled via a certified external API provider. Only the data required for displaying absences in Flexopus is transferred. Additionally, there is an option to anonymize the absence type and transmit only the status "absent."
