With the Rippling integration in Flexopus, your employees' absence data is automatically incorporated into workplace planning – without manual maintenance and without media breaks.
What is rippling synchronization?
Rippling integration is a one-way data interface: Absence information from Rippling is automatically transferred to Flexopus. Flexopus reads the absence data from Rippling and stores it for the respective user accounts.
Only the information relevant for room planning is transferred: employee ID, absence period (start and end date), status, and optionally the absence type (e.g., vacation). Vacation, illness, parental leave). The data is processed via a certified integration service provider and synchronized regularly.
What is the purpose of integration?
The integration ensures that absences from Rippling are directly visible in Flexopus – without employees or administrators having to enter data twice.
Typical use cases for integration:
- View absence status: Approved absences from Rippling are automatically displayed in the Flexopus profile of the person concerned. Colleagues can see at a glance who is available.
- Improve attendance planning: The Flexopus overview shows who is working in the office, who is working remotely, and who is absent. This makes it easier to plan joint in-person days.
- Optimize resources: Absence data helps to realistically assess available workspaces and to manage bookings effectively.
How easy is the integration?
Setting up Rippling integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As administrator, select HRIS integration in the Flexopus settings and connect your Rippling account. Once the required API permissions have been granted, synchronization runs automatically in the background.

What data is transmitted from Rippling?
Only absence-related data is synchronized: employee ID, approval status, start and end time, and optionally the absence type (e.g., leave of absence). Vacation or illness). Personal or confidential information from Rippling will not be transferred. In addition, you can configure whether the absence type should be displayed or simplified to "absent".
What happens when an absence is changed or deleted in Rippling?
The integration synchronizes the data regularly. Changes or deletions in Rippling are automatically transferred to Flexopus during the next synchronization. Manual adjustment in Flexopus is not required.
Can absences be managed directly in Flexopus?
No. The synchronization is one-sided: Flexopus reads the data from Rippling, but does not make any changes to it. Absences must still be managed directly in Rippling.
Is HRIS integration included in the standard subscription?
HRIS integration is an optional add-on module and is not included in the standard subscription. It is available upon request for all Flexopus customers. If you are interested, please contact the Flexopus team.
How is data protection ensured during transmission?
Data transfer is handled via a certified external integration service provider. Only the data required for the absence notification in Flexopus will be transmitted. The processing is carried out in compliance with the GDPR.
