Simployer and Flexopus: Automatically synchronize absences

What is the Simployer synchronization?

The Simployer integration is a one-way data interface between your HR system and Flexopus. Simployer automatically transmits employee absence data—such as vacation, illness, or other leave—to Flexopus.

The connection runs via a standardized API service that establishes secure and reliable communication between both systems. Flexopus reads the absence data from Simployer and stores it locally for use within the platform. Data is not transmitted back from Flexopus to Simployer.

The following information is synchronized: employee ID, start and end date of the absence, status, absence type, and an optional note. You can optionally configure the system to transmit a general "Absent" status instead of the specific absence type.

What is the purpose of the integration?

In many companies, absences are recorded in the HR system but are not taken into account during workspace planning. This leads to bookings for days when employees are not in the office and results in a lack of transparency for the entire team.

With the Simployer integration, absence data flows automatically into Flexopus. This enables the following use cases:

• Make absence status visible: Employees can see directly on their Flexopus dashboard if they are marked as absent.
• Keep track of team availability: All users can see in Flexopus who is in the office, working remotely, or absent—ideal for planning days in the office together.
• Use resources more effectively: When it is clear who is away, workspaces can be assigned more efficiently and are truly available to the team.

How easy is the integration?

Setting up the Simployer integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select Simployer as your HRIS system, and grant the necessary API permissions in Simployer. The automatic synchronization will then begin.
