Factorial with Flexopus: Automatically synchronize absences

What is factorial synchronization?

Factorial integration connects your HR software to Flexopus via a secure interface. Absence data recorded and approved in Factorial is automatically transferred to Flexopus.

This is a read-only synchronization: Flexopus receives the data from Factorial but does not make any changes to the source. The following information, among other things, is synchronized:

• Absence type (e.g. Vacation, illness, parental leave)
• Start and end date of absence
• Approval status
• Optional absence note

Absences are assigned to the respective users based on their email address. Flexopus uses a unified API provider to connect to Factorial.

What is the purpose of integration?

Factorial integration makes absence information directly visible in Flexopus – for employees and teams alike. This enables better planning and more transparent collaboration in the hybrid office environment.

Typical use cases include:

• View absence status directly: Approved absences from Factorial are automatically displayed in the respective person's Flexopus profile.
• Check the availability of colleagues: See at a glance who is in the office, working remotely, or absent.
• Using resources more efficiently: When employees are absent, their bookings can be automatically released in the future so that other colleagues can use the resources.

Automatic synchronization eliminates the need for duplicate data maintenance in different systems. Absences only need to be entered once in Factorial and are then available in Flexopus.

How easy is the integration?

Setting up factorial integration is straightforward and requires no specialized technical knowledge. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select Factorial and grant the required API permissions in your HR software.

Once set up, synchronization runs automatically in the background – without any further effort from your team.
