What is HeavenHR synchronization?
The HeavenHR integration connects your HR system to Flexopus via a standardized interface. Absence data from HeavenHR is automatically transferred to Flexopus and made available there for all relevant functions.
Specifically, Flexopus synchronizes the following information from HeavenHR:
- Start and end date of absence
- Absence status (e.g. (approved, pending)
- Type of absence (e.g. Vacation, illness, parental leave)
- Internal identifiers for unique assignment
The synchronization is read-only: absence data is retrieved from HeavenHR, but not modified by Flexopus. Data maintenance remains entirely within HeavenHR.
What is the purpose of integration?
The connection between HeavenHR and Flexopus creates a seamless flow of information between HR and Workplace Management. Typical use cases include:
- Make absence status visible: Approved absences are automatically displayed in Flexopus. Colleagues can see at a glance who is in the office, working from home, or absent.

How easy is the integration?
Setting up the HeavenHR integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the HRIS integration settings in Flexopus, select HeavenHR and grant the necessary API permissions in your HeavenHR account.
Once the connection is established, Flexopus automatically begins synchronizing absence data – based on the stored email addresses of your employees.

Which absence data is transferred?
Flexopus synchronizes absence entries including start and end date, status, type of absence, and internal identifiers for assignment. If desired, the transmission can be configured so that only the absence status ("absent") is transmitted, without the specific reason – to protect sensitive employee data.
Can absences be changed in HeavenHR via Flexopus?
No. The integration is purely read-only. Flexopus receives absence data from HeavenHR, but does not make any changes to the HR system. Data maintenance is done exclusively in HeavenHR.
What happens when an absence is deleted or changed in HeavenHR?
Flexopus regularly synchronizes the latest data from HeavenHR. Changes or deletions are automatically applied so that the absence status in Flexopus always matches the current status in HeavenHR.
Is the integration GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Data transfer is handled via a certified API service provider. Only the absence information necessary for the operation of Flexopus is processed. Additionally, there is the option to disable the transmission of sensitive details such as absence type.
Does HRIS integration need to be purchased separately?
The HRIS integration module is an optional add-on and is not included in the Flexopus package by default. However, it can be activated for all customers upon request. Please contact our sales team regarding this matter.
