Connect PayFit to Flexopus and ensure that absence data from your HR system is automatically available in Flexopus. This way, all employees can see at a glance who is present, working from home, or absent – without manual maintenance.
What is PayFit synchronization?
The PayFit integration is a one-way data interface between PayFit and Flexopus. Absence data – such as vacation days, sick days or other approved absences – are read from PayFit and transferred to Flexopus.
Flexopus receives this data and stores it for the affected users. Synchronization is based on the employees' email addresses. Data can be configured so that only the bare essentials are transmitted – for example, only the status “absent”, without specifying the exact absence type.
This is a read-only synchronization: absence data is displayed in Flexopus, but not changed.
What is the purpose of integration?
The integration creates transparency in everyday office life and facilitates collaboration in hybrid teams. Typical use cases include:
Absence status at a glance: As soon as an absence is approved in PayFit, it is automatically displayed in Flexopus. Employees can see their own status directly on the home screen.
Availability of colleagues: In Flexopus, it is always visible who is in the office, working remotely, or absent. This makes it easier to plan meetings and coordinate within the team.
No manual effort required: Absences do not need to be entered twice. Information entered in PayFit is automatically available in Flexopus as well.
How easy is the integration?
Setting up the PayFit integration is straightforward and requires no technical expertise. As an administrator, navigate to the integration settings in Flexopus, select PayFit and grant the necessary API permissions in PayFit. After that, synchronization runs automatically in the background.

What data is synchronized from PayFit?
Employee absence entries are transferred, including start and end dates, absence status, and absence type (e.g., leave, vacation, etc.). Vacation or illness). If desired, synchronization can be restricted so that only the "absent" status is transmitted, without specifying the exact reason.
Can absences be managed via Flexopus?
No. The integration is a read-only synchronization. Absence data is read from PayFit and displayed in Flexopus, but cannot be changed there. Changes must still be made directly in PayFit.
What happens when an absence is deleted or changed in PayFit?
The synchronization takes changes in PayFit into account. If an absence is adjusted or withdrawn in PayFit, this change will also be updated in Flexopus during the next synchronization.
Is the HRIS module included in the Flexopus basic package?
The HRIS integration module is an optional add-on module and is not included in the basic package by default. However, it can be activated for all customers upon request. Please contact Flexopus support for assistance.
How is the data assigned to the correct employees?
The assignment is done via the employee's email address. The prerequisite is that the email address is stored identically in PayFit and in Flexopus.
